Ullapool. F2 SE. Just started to rain.
Torsten caught the bus to Inverness yesterday and Sarah will arrive this afternoon. Hopefully Thembi will sail in soon too. The expedition team is gradually assembling. Although there is a whacking great big depression working it’s way towards Ireland it looks like the winds up north will be rather moderate and from the south east and gradually backing to beome northerly on Sunday. It all points towards leaving sooner rather than later. Hopefully tomorrow.
Peter and I spent our day strolling around Ullapool and ticking off little tasks. The Eberspacher is back in action after we found some corrosion on the main fuses. The concept of a swim was scuppered because of roof repairs at the pool so it will be a run up the hill today. Yesterday evening we met John and Jenny Izard from Victoria, Australia in the Arch Pub. They are having a great time touring around Europe and I was please to say that they loved Stonehaven, which I think is a fantastic place too. Peter and I ended up in the Curry House – typical!
Trish from Orla in Dunstaffnage has sent some more images of Sumara in 70 knots of wind. I’ll try to add them to the relevant post as soon as I get time.
