Day 128. 28th July 2026
Confidenence Level: 10/10

At 16:52 we anchored off Ittoqqortoormiit in Scoresby Sund in glorious sunshine. The journey wasn’t easy and it took three previous attempts over 15 years, but at last here we are! Jacket potatoes are in the oven, the Eberspacher is blasting out heat and there is a bottle of red wine on the table. We are basking in our success! You don’t see many 26 foot varnished wooden boats up here.
I would like to thank all of those who helped me so much to achieve this, all the crew involved in sailing the east coast of UK, the Caledonian Canal, up to Ullapool, across to the Faroes and over to Iceland, plus the shorebased help with forecasting.
