Life tips from a small boat

Peter pours brandy onto the marmalade to prevent mould – brilliant!

Ullapool. North Westerly F6. Dreich.
Every time I go sailing I learn something from my amazing crew. The problem is I forget them but no more. We have decided to write them all down in the log book and publish a little book in aid of charity in time for Christmas. No Peter, not the Sumara beer fund, but a worthy charity. Hopefully we don’t choose Search and Rescue! In any case as a little taster, here is Life Tip Number One, from Peter Mercer, “Pour a little brandy on to the marmalade before you close it and no mould will grow, and it will taste better”. Ok you get the idea. We will choose the charity after the trip so get your credits cards ready.
